The Flora is the Botanical Garden of the city of Cologne. It showcases over 10,000 native and exotic plant species in outdoor areas and greenhouses. The landscaped facility, with its many themed gardens, illustrates how the art of gardening and the understanding of landscape gardening have evolved over 150 years. Flora boasts a large collection of exotic woody plants that were planted in its founding year. After several expansions, the Botanical Garden, located in the Riehl district, now covers an area of over 11 hectares.
